Star Wars Party: Part 1 of 2

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

As some of you might know, there is a new Star Wars episode coming to theatres this month. Tell you what, though. Rachel and I did not know that last year when we decided to make this year's holiday theme "Christmas in Tatooine." I am actually pretty sure that our Christmas theme is what inspired Episode 7 to be released this year, so you are welcome.

I had not actually really seen Star Wars until... last week. Christmas in Tatooine was Rachel's brain baby, but I'm such a supportive wife that I did some massive research on Wookiepedia and can now tell you quite a lot about the Star Wars universe. If I could choose, I would like to be from Naboo. I appreciate the classic beauty of the architecture there, their sartorial extravagance, and the political system that favors the wisdom of young women. I can also tell you that throwing a Star Wars themed party is a great was to celebrate the new movie's release as well as Christmas. Like with most things in life, there are two ways to do this. You can go big, or you can go home. Both choices are valid. If you chose to go big, look forward to Part 2 of 2 of this post.

If you are looking for an awesome, low-key way to celebrate the Force awakening, I am here to share the best damn puns in the galaxy with you. Putting out a spread of foods with clever names is a foolproof way to get your guests in the Jedi spirit. This particular pun party happened at my brother's Star Wars marathon, and I spent quite a while gushing over the adorable puns his (apparently very clever) friends developed. God I love puns. Enjoy.

With a dark side and a light side, naturally.

Featured here with a Han Solo Cup?

This was my favorite.
